Ovary It: Year 3, Semester 1 University Project

For my Year 3, Semester 2 university project, I created a publication focusing on my own experience with PCOS. I wanted to approach the subject with honesty and sensitivity, using design as a tool to inform and connect.

I developed a series of organic illustrations to represent common symptoms such as acne, excess weight, and excess hair, aiming to visualise these often-taboo topics in a gentle and relatable way. A soft, feminine colour palette helped balance the heavier subject matter, creating a sense of calm and approachability throughout the publication.

Typography and layout choices were considered carefully to ensure accessibility while maintaining a strong visual identity. The final piece was not only a personal exploration but also an attempt to raise awareness and spark conversation around a condition that affects so many yet is still so widely misunderstood.
